Oviedo Pet Resort LLC offer a series of training classes as well as one-on-one programs tailored to you and your family. Our professional trainers have the highest levels of industry certification and over 30-years of real-world experience. This includes working with several rescue and adopted dogs that have challenging issues due to difficult pasts. Our trainers have a real love for animals and a true desire to make your training experience as successful as possible.
Some of the most common concerns we hear from dog owners have to do with how to stop their dog from doing something they don’t like. There are plenty of dog behaviors that are not desirable like barking, chewing on things they shouldn’t have, biting. But the question that we should be asking is not "how do I get them to stop that?’. It’s ‘what should they be doing instead?.
Our methods are positive and based on the science of Behavior Modification. The focus should be on getting our dogs to want to work for us. How can we motivate them? What do they want? And how can we make our communication with them clear and concise? Nothing in training should break down your relationship with your dog. Remember why you got a dog in the first place. You want a companion, a friend, a member of the family.
Everything you do in training should build on that relationship. Our classes and programs are designed with that goal in mind. We will help you develop a positive and rewarding relationship with your pet.

Personal Dog Training Programs.
We offer several personal training programs designed with flexibility to meet the needs of both the “parent” and pet. We use only positive methods that reward your dog for good behavior! Our accredited Professional Trainers have trained over a thousand dogs, so you can be assured that they have the experience and skill your specific training situation requires.
Private lessons are a fantastic way to train your dog. One-on-one sessions are set up at your convenience to work on any issues ranging from routine obedience training to specific behavior problems. Lessons can be conducted at your home or at our facility. Sessions can be combined with daycare to provide a great play and learning experience! Throughout the Play & Train process, we will meet with you at your convenience to review accomplishments and discuss exercises you and your pet will have for homework. For Play & Train, we recommend at least six sessions over a three-week period. For in-home lessons, we will work with you to determine the best course of action.
Refresher Obedience Training
While your dog is staying or playing with us, our staff will refresh basic obedience training with repetition and lots of positive reinforcement. Daily 15 to 20 minute sessions may include a variety of learned behaviors including sit, down, stay, come and heel. We will also incorporate distractions as needed. We can even teach them some fun tricks as well!
Better Manners, Easier for You: The more often your pet participates in our refresher program, the further advanced they will become. Depending on the dog & behavior, we recommend at least three to five sessions. Notes will be provided as needed. We will demonstrate the behavior to you after the last session and assist you with “knowledge transfer”. The only prerequisite is completion of a previous obedience class or equivalent training.
Board & Train
This program is the answer for the owner who loves their pet, but doesn’t have the time for training at home. We will work with your dog during the day and board him/her at our first-class resort at night. We handle all of the training and caretaking 24-hours a day. At the end of your dog’s stay, our trainer will conduct a private go-home session to teach you the commands your dog has learned and appropriate techniques for continuing to work with him at home. One good way to reinforce this training is to take one of our group obedience classes. These sessions will help you keep up the practice, which further reinforces what your dog has learned.
Prior to the start of any personal program, we offer a FREE Evaluation to discuss your training goals and the time required to effectively train your dog to meet your expectations.
Vaccinations must be submitted and approved at least 24 hours prior to pet's stay.
Please complete and return our Training Enrollment Form prior to your dog’s first class. Full payment is due on the first day. Thank you!
